FERRERO

Ferrero, a traditional family business with its origins in Alba in Piedmont, became the first post-war Italian confectionery producer to open factories and offices abroad, making the company an international group.

Today, Ferrero International is one of the leading players in the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) sector, with 109 companies and 32 manufacturing plants worldwide, selling through distributors in over 170 countries, and an average workforce of 41,000 by 2022 (source ferrero.fr).

On March 5, 2024, students in higher education classes, as well as general secondary and vocational training students, had the opportunity to interact with Ferrero expert speakers from Brussels, as well as from the company’s Luxembourg headquarters. The program includes round tables on Responsible marketing, Sustainability, Health&Nutrition and Lifestyle.

Divided into teams and supervised by an EHTL teacher-coach, the young people were able to understand the link between theoretical concepts studied in class, and how they are applied in the professional world. They were also invited to consider the challenges of Ferrero’s policy, and its impact on both consumers and the environment.

Instructive and enriching, the meeting concluded with the conclusion that it was an experience worth repeating.
