Christmas in Europe: 2022 edition in Termoli

An EHTL delegation took part in the 30th edition of “Christmas in Europe”, a meeting organized every year in December by the AEHT (European Association of Hotel and Tourism Schools). The representatives of 18 schools from 15 different European countries met in Italy, in the coastal town of Termoli, and the least we can say is that they did not come empty-handed. In fact, the program includes the installation of richly decorated stands where each establishment serves typical specialties and provides explanations on the Christmas traditions of its region or country. A large audience of school classes and individuals were charmed by this extraordinary Christmas market that invites to a real journey from one end of Europe to the other.
After a colorful parade combining flags, costumes and music through the streets of the city, the participants were welcomed by the mayor of Termoli.
Christmas in Europe is also a great buffet with multiple flavors prepared by and for the different delegations, in an atmosphere of sharing and conviviality.
Cultural visits completed the program such as the discovery of Larino, with the remains of a Roman amphitheater, or Angnone, known for its bell foundry and which also houses a large pastry shop that delighted all gourmets.
The gala evening, animated by the students’ performances, ended this beautiful exchange between young Europeans. We are already looking forward to next year’s exchange in Lithuania
