EHTL offers its expertise for the development of hotel and tourism schools in Vietnam
A partnership agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) has just been signed between Vietnam and the Grand Duchy during an official ceremony organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. This event was attended by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Mr. Lex Delles, Minister of Middle Classes and Tourism, Mr. Michel Lanners, Director of the Luxembourg Hotel and Tourism School (EHTL) and the Director of the Hong Quang Business Consulting Company Limited (HQBC) Mr. Quang Trang.
This partnership aims to promote the development of hotel and tourism schools offering quality training in Vietnam, with the expertise of EHTL. EHTL teachers will be called upon to develop training programs in close collaboration with various investors in Vietnam. The training of trainers will also be part of this original mission, which aims at a cooperation model based on a balanced partnership between Vietnamese authorities and EHTL experts.
The signatories of the MOU share the observation that for more than twenty years, the project to support the development of the tourism sector in Vietnam – supported by the Luxembourg government in collaboration with the EHTL – has contributed to the reputation of the sector among the actors of the tourism sector in Vietnam. Therefore, the good understanding and successful results have motivated this new cooperation contract which will be subsidized by Vietnamese promoters/entrepreneurs and hoteliers instead of the cooperation aid of the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
