Pupils’ Committee
A students’ committee is set up at each school. It is responsible for :
- to represent the pupils in dealings with the management and on committees formed by teachers and parents respectively;
- inform pupils of their rights and duties within the school community, in particular through class representatives;
- prepare the positions taken by its representatives on the Board of Education;
- organise cultural, social and sporting activities;
- make proposals concerning school life and pupils’ work.
The Principal meets with the Students’ Committee whenever it so requests. The Students’ Committee delegates student representatives to the National Students’ Conference and the Education Council. The election procedures, composition and operation of the Pupils’ Committee are determined by Grand-Ducal regulation.
