Learning

    • Preparing students for the world of work
      • The world of HoReCa is very demanding and often requires excellence… if not more. This is why the EHTL’s vision is built around the leitmotif of “Striving for excellence”.
At every stage of their personal and professional development, learners are encouraged to ask themselves “What more could I do to get closer to excellence? In this way, they constantly question their knowledge and skills in order to improve themselves, while putting the fruit of this quest at the service of the professional world.
This quest for excellence often involves the choice of new adapted technologies, but this choice is always made wisely and must never be reduced to art for art’s sake.

Teaching

    • Innovation with technology
      • The EHTL already has a long experience in its field. Its team of experienced specialists is taking advantage of the EHTL’s implementation of “one2one” to see how the use of tablets can offer added value that would facilitate the transmission of knowledge and skills to learners while showing them how they themselves can directly benefit from these new tools in a collaborative, creative and innovative learning process.
It is this teaching through new technologies, which enhances the pre-existing skills of the learners while giving them new skills to pursue excellence in their subject matter for the benefit of the client and the future employer.

Environment

    • Content distribution process
      • By rethinking the provision of electronic textbooks in the form of iBooks for students, the EHTL is moving the theoretical component from a simple worksheet to interactive multimedia content. The iBooks produced by EHTL teachers contain not only text, but also videos that allow learners to (re)see the technical procedures in action. In addition, self-correcting exercises enable learners to mobilise knowledge. The distribution of content is thus moving into the era of interactive multimedia, while reducing the ecological footprint of the school, which is doing away with most of the paper printing.
